Students will learn to work together to produce group cheers, chants and routines that demonstrate the class dynamics.Ĭheerleading classes also include the Family Engagement Program to keep parents informed about what their children are learning in class! The program also provides families with fun at-home activities to continue the exploration and learning process outside of the classroom. Kids and adults alike, can all learn life lessons through the wonderful sport of tennis. Students will be taught the importance of working together towards a common goal and how to overcome differences. The most important concept in our cheerleading class will be working as a team! Dancers will learn how to move in unison and create fun formations and pictures as a unit. This is designed to not only keep students learning new dance and concepts, but also to keep class new and exciting every single time!Ĭhildren will be given the opportunity to create their own chants and cheer routines. Each week, Dance Exploration will pick a new dance or cheer term to study as part of the class theme. Dance and cheer have it’s own language and it’s important that students understand the language to perform the moves well. Children will not be taught these skills until mastery of basic strength exercises have been accomplished to prevent serious injury.ĭance Exploration believes in the importance of teaching dance terminology in each class. All assisted lifts and stunts will be taught and only performed under the supervision of the Dance Exploration, LLC Dance Educator. Age and skill appropriate combinations will also be taught in this class. Class begins with stretches and warm ups including the basic arm positions of cheerleading and easy cheers and chants as heard on the sidelines.Ĭenter work and across the floor activities are performed individually and in groups. The Cheerleading class explore the fundamentals of cheerleading, combined with dancing with pom poms to create fun visual shapes for the audience. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, exploring the beautiful outdoors, and traveling the world.Dance Exploration’s Cheerleading program at the Castle Rock Rec Center is a progressive exploration of chanting, stunting, dance and movement as seen on the side lines of major sports teams. Kayla finds excitement daily in helping her community, working with children, and creating a better future for her own children (daughter born in March of 2017 and another on the way in November of 2019). Dance Exploration is excited to provide youth Dance Classes at the Castle Rock. She feels children are less secure in these subjects due to not enough exposure, so she's all about teaching children these concepts as young as possible and through play to "hide" the educational part. She graduated from the College of Engineering and Applied Science at University of Colorado-Boulder and worked as an Electrical Engineer for six years before starting this business.Īs a child she enjoyed playing with LEGO bricks and would have loved a program like Snapology growing up!
